The China Alliance for Clean Stoves (CACS) is an industry alliance composed of enterprises specializing in the research and development, design, manufacturing, testing, and marketing of clean cookstoves. To improve combustion efficiency, reduce pollutant emissions, and enhance indoor air quality, CACS works to advance stove and small-boiler technologies, regulate the clean stove market, develop and promote technical standards, and strengthen international communication and cooperation. In addition, CACS provides relevant technical training for manufacturers and users, supports manufacturer capacity building, and safeguards the rights and interests of its members and consumers.

The China Association of Rural Energy Industry (CAREI) is a national non-governmental organization comprising corporate bodies from multiple sectors and disciplines within China’s rural energy industry. CAREI is officially registered with and approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, with the Ministry of Agriculture serving as its supervisory authority. The association operates through six specialized divisions; efficient stoves (China Alliance for Clean Stoves), biomass conversion, solar thermal energy, biogas, micro power systems, and novel liquid fuels, and hosts the Technical Cooperation Team for Densified Biofuels, which is affiliated with the China Alliance for Clean Stoves (CACS) and supports technical exchange and capacity building in clean and sustainable energy solutions.
